Journey Continues. // Love Letter, October 2022

Greetings from California. I hope the autumn season is treating you well. We are settling back into the canyon life after visiting Hamburg and Norway. Coco and I started a new garden project this past week. We are creating a dedicated patch of land to grow cover crops so our chickens can forage while helping soil regenerate.

This morning, we were checking on the area, and we noticed that some seeds had germinated overnight. They were so tiny that we had to bow down close to the ground to locate the sprouts everywhere. It felt like witnessing a whole new universe. That's when Coco told me, "wow. I LOVE the autumn season." Her comment stopped me for a moment. Living in Southern California, we are used to a less dramatic seasonal change; however, still, kids just know that one season has passed the baton to the next. The intense heat is slowly lifting from the atmosphere and cooler air is starting to arrive, allowing tiny sprouts to thrive. We are a part of something bigger than our individual selves.  That's the theme that kept showing up strongly for me this month.

Trina is reaching out to her "Notebook People" to showcase and highlight many faces of the journaling community. She interviewed Michael as an inaugural story for her Notebook People series. His last quote resonated with me so much. I hope you enjoy his story too!

"The Universe brings you a higher level of vibration and understanding when you put your thoughts on the page."

Michael Downey

A.C. shared how their 20 minutes of daily morning drawing session has built up many facets of inspiration. Their insights from experience apply both to drawing and life. At BK, our monthly Analogue Dialogue is finding a comfortable rhythm. We are also launching a brand new in-person BK experience, "Journey Program," on October 23rd. This program focuses on the adventure of analogue artifacts as much as our personal journey. It is one of our BK ways to support and expand the artifacts to continue their unique path.

I hope that this season, we will have an opportunity to pause for a moment and immerse ourselves into the cyclical energy that is all around us. When I feel like our day-to-day schedule is spinning out of orbit, it is one of the ways that help me regain a sense of groundedness.
