Dear Wakako and BK team,
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!
It’s hard to believe that it was 10 years ago when Wakako-san drove from Pasadena to pick up her BK orders from our warehouse in Torrance with her baby in her car’s backseat!
Traveler’s Notebook brought us to work together and it has been such a great collaborative effort to spread the love for TN. We are thankful for the BK team who was one of the first retailers to lead this effort. Through the experience of participating in the BK workshop in 2019 and meeting workshop guests who traveled from near and far, I felt the connection and bond of the BK community.
We are thrilled to see Baum-kuchen grow and we look forward to expanding this kind of special community together with you!

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary. It has been 10 years since we started working together as well. Time flies, doesn’t it? My first memory of you is the pickup visits at our previous warehouse location. Your daughter who was a small baby at the time must have grown so much by now. More recently, we saw you (Wakako-san) and the Baum-kuchen team at the Traveler’s Notebook ACE HOTEL event! We were so happy to see your bright smile there.
You have put forth beautiful work for the last 10 years and we are so happy to witness your shop grow. We look forward to continuing working together with Baum-kuchen.

Congratulations on your 10th birthday!
I moved from JPT’s San Francisco office to the Los Angeles office at the beginning of 2017. Until then, I did not know much about stationery; however, I have often heard of the name “Baum-kuchen”. I remember getting lost when I visited your shop for the first time at your previous location. I was able to visit your current location before your store hosted the Traveler’s Notebook Stamp Caravan. To be honest, we did not receive those stamps in time from the previous shop who used those stamps and I vividly remember feeling panicked! BK’s stamp event had already been promoted to the community and I felt personally responsible to ensure the delivery of those stamps. I could not risk having the stamps being lost between our warehouse and Baum-kuchen so I hand-delivered the stamps and felt relieved afterward. Baum-kuchen has a unique presence in the stationery world and I look forward to seeing you continue to innovate.
