[haru nomura] Tabi Suru Kaban (Traveling Bag)

Haru Nomura’s first bag design, the Traveling Bag, was born from her love of wandering and the quiet freedom of exploring on her bicycle. Crafted from lightweight linen, it feels airy and effortless as a feather, an ideal companion for both your adventures near and far. Organize smaller items in the inner pocket and zip it to keep everything secure. A special tag is sewn on every piece, recording the date, temperature, humidity, and plant dye used, celebrating the exact moment in time when it was made. The variations in color and texture reflect the uniqueness of every bag. As you carry it through daily life and new adventures, we hope you’ll enjoy watching it soften, age, and develop its own patina alongside you!

❖ Precautions:

Please note that when the bag is new, you may experience color transfer of the plant dye onto lighter-colored clothing or natural-color leather artifacts.

❖ Maintenance and care:

To clean minor stains, lightly dab with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains that require deep cleaning, hand-wash separately in cold or lukewarm water. Please keep in mind that washing may change its color and appearance. When your bag is not in use, allow it to rest in a well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. 

❖ Plant Dye reference:

Akane: Indian madder root
Purple: Logwood bark
Light indigo, Indigo: Indian indigo
Green: Japanese bayberry bark
Brown & ink: Persimmon (When the bag is new, these colors have a very crisp/firm texture due to the reinforcing effect of persimmon tannins. Over time and use, it will become soft and shiny).
