The inspiration for this charm comes from the Japanese artifact Daruma, a symbol of perseverance and good luck that has been traditionally used for intention setting in Japan. The Daruma charm comes with unglazed blank eyes. Fill one of his eyes (Sharpies work well) when you set your goal, and fill the other eye to make him complete when you accomplish it. Keeping this Daruma charm on your Traveler's Notebook will be a gentle reminder of your personal intention every day.

You can add these charms to the elastic band of your Traveler's Notebook or attach them to the bookmark string. Their whimsical personalities are sure to bring a smile to your face.
