BK Original Furoshiki
Furoshiki is a type of traditional Japanese cloth and concept used to transport clothes, gifts, anything else that can be wrapped! I have a fond memory of watching my family receiving a gift in person. The gift would be wrapped in a beautiful Furoshiki fabric and un-wrapped in front of us to present the contents inside. The entire process was formal, elegant, and much like a dance. Fast-forward to 2020, Baum-kuchen is thrilled to share our unique Furoshiki designed and made in collaboration with The Superior Labor.
Our Furoshiki is made by TSL's beautiful fabric that is left from their clothing line production. Since the fabric is up-cycled from the TSL production line, we offer varied fabrics as “assorted,” each fabric with its own story. The fabric is stamped with the BK logo on one corner, so you can use this to orient your gift if you would like.
We are offering two sizes. Small (40cm) is perfect for wrapping artifacts similar in size to TN Passport or A6 size notebook. Large (60cm) is compatible with wrapping artifacts similar in size to TN Regular or A5 size notebook.
If you would like, you can purchase Furoshiki as your "gift wrap" option to your order to someone special. Purchase your items and the correct size Furoshiki and leave a note to your order to wrap your items in the purchased Furoshiki. Instead of our usual wrapping method using paper, we will be using your purchased Furoshiki to wrap your contents. It will be a thoughtful way to present your special gift.
Please be advised that the true fabric color can slightly vary depending on your screen.
